The Scott & Bearskin Lake RailroadThe Scott & Bearskin Lake Railroad was established by Robert Dortch, Sr. as part of the Plantation Agriculture Museum near Scott, Ark., in the 1960s and after his death in 1978, his son (Robert Dortch, Jr.) closed the RR and began moving steam locomotives, rolling stock and trackage to the Victorian tourist destination Eureka Springs, Ark. Here are Photos I got of the Scott & Bearskin Lake Railroad
2-6-0 Locomotive #201 (Moscow, Camden & St. Augustine Ry #201) with Georgia Northern coach and Caboose #214 or #60 (I can't tell).
Close up view of the top photo.
On The Scott & Bearskin Lake Railroad in Scott, Arkansas in the 1970s. Locomotive #2 (W.T. Carter & Brother Lumber Co.). Notice the Water tower is the same one at The Eureka Springs & North Arkansas Railroad. An interesting notes - Locomotive #1 was on The Scott & Bearskin Lake Railroad at the same time and Locomotive #7 was on The Scott & Bearskin Lake RR at the same time. . There were more locomotives and more rolling stocks but I do not have any photos. Sorry, but this is all the information's I got, I am still looking. Last updated on Jan. 12, 2012 |
